  1. Yeah, but you sourced foxnews, and they're racist...which now makes you and your post, racist. But seriously, I'd be cool with taking the Israeli approach on our southern border to fight the cartels. My minefield philosophy still works for me as well.

No helo love? Definitely agree with the last one.
  4. Well, the border length is what the border length is, sorry. Again, you can always mine it on our side and then have a chain link fence 100 feet past the mine field, and still have the typical border crossing points. The problem with your suggestion is that you can't effectively screen for criminals and infected people if those people do not have to use the border checkpoints. You still have to have a strong/reasonable system to funnel the people to the checkpoints, especially if they're concerned they may be denied entry due to medical/criminal issues.
  5. "Help our own"?? What does that mean? Here's my other question for you: If we were to have open immigration, ie anybody can come here (which I agree as long as there aren't excessive medical/criminal issues and we end all forms of welfare)...do you see that there should be any restrictions on medical screening? What about criminal screening (if it's even possible), or is it just come and go as you please, don't need to check in with anyone, etc? Also, with no fences/walls on the border, what keeps terrorists from walking across the border in the middle of nowhere with RPG's as easy as me walking through the woods and crossing the State line between Minnesota and North Dakota? Will a wall/security system stop all terrorists? No, but I'm sure it would help to a certain degree. In the past you enjoyed pointing out Israel as the example in terms of homosexuals openly serving and recently with the Bergdahl swap...but for some reason you stop using them as the example when it comes to border security? You've been all over the map lately. But as usual, I'm willing to somewhat give you the benefit of the doubt.

If this is true (probably is), then I think we need to give M2 a lot of alcohol and also make sure he doesn't go postal. Kind of surprised this didn't happen sooner... http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/07/foghorn/breaking-obama-administration-bans-import-izhmash-kalashnikov-saiga-firearms/
  7. Vertigo, you do better when you stick to a Libertarian philosophy. If you're still for open immigration and zero welfare (especially with money from the federal level) then I'd go ahead and add it your argument...and I would agree. I'm pretty sure you've said this in the past, but it seems to be missing from your back and forth nonsense. Mathematically you can not have a prosperous country with open immigration and a government welfare state. Hell, our welfare state right now isn't treating the country well (besides the fact that I believe it be extremely unConstitutional).
  8. Good thing you asked now, with only a few years left to go you may have run out of time to ask. Relax, dude, you still have a lot of maturing to do, as many people do (myself included, and I have a feeling I'm much, much older). I'm not exactly the same person today as I was a few years ago, and hopefully you weren't either. Focus on just being a good dude, a good enlisted guy/student/cadet, and a good citizen and the rest will start to work itself out when you get closer to commissioning. Then when you get closer you can start asking more serious questions.
  9. I may have gone over the speed limit to get to grocery store before they were closed...but if they were closed when I arrived I never broke in just because the store didn't meet my level of convenience.
  10. What percentage of illegals are crossing the border in underground tunnels? I don't doubt that people would still try and find a way in, but what percentage of illegals (compared to now) would then cross via tunnels if the border was mined? Or are you saying there wouldn't be a noticeable reduction? Besides, you could have technology where unmanned ground vehicles would patrol the fenceline (in my mine scenario) and can pick up tunnels/tunneling activity...similar technology is already used in oil exportation, etc. As a Liberatarian I'm all for allowing people to go back and forth, but not with the massive welfare system we have now. Either secure the border the best we possibly can, or get rid of all the welfare, min wage laws, public education, etc. I'm a bigger fan of the latter.
  11. What about at the border, they build a 10 foot wall 100 feet into the US and then put land mines in between the border and the fence? You can have all the warning signs you want, still have the normal border access/check points, nothing else changes. Would this curb 99% of the illegal border crossings after a year?

Speaking of safes/security, didn't one or two of you guys say a while back that you would be purchasing a 'Sturdy Gun Safe'? If so, how was the process? Safe what you thought it would be? What exactly did you get?
  13. I agree. But nothing says you or any of the other crew dogs need to be in the pics with the hot chicks--actually, I prefer you didn't! Edited for alcohol.

Negative man. It's a pistol stabilizing brace...one I mentioned above. Goes to my point of the SBR becoming less and less relevant. http://www.gunsandammo.com/2014/04/04/atf-response-firing-ar-15-pistols-shoulder-sig-pistol-brace/ ETA: Nunya beat me by a couple minutes, sorry to be repetitive.

These days with bullpups and the new 'SB15 Pistol Stabilizing Brace' from Sig, I don't know why most people would go through the hassle in getting a SBR. Don't get me wrong, I'd also like to have one, but not at the expense of getting/keeping an NFA registered item and needing permission just to take it out of State...plus selling it is also more of a hassle. It's not even the stupid $200 tax stamp (I know it's the same price as it was in 1934), it's the rest of the nonsense (especially the registration) that I just laid out that keeps me from doing it, especially when there is, IMHO, 'somewhat' reasonable alternatives. Just my $.02. I'm definitely interested in SCAR17S...haven't been able to shoot one yet, but hopefully one day soon!
  16. Pics or it didn't happen. Same with you Prozac. No pics means you were just hanging out with a bunch of fat dudes...which Nsplayr likes. I'll also settle for more pics of BQZip's mom.
  17. That's like saying that without the 9% (whatever it was) of the black vote, W wouldn't have gotten elected. I don't think any reasonable person is suggesting that Hispanic Americans are solidly (in the past, present, or forseeable future) in the GOP's corner.

CDNN has the SW MP-15 OR for $700 (assuming it's in stock) and then you get $100 mil rebate on top of it. Hard to beat and with an OR you can dress it up however you want. http://www.slickguns.com/product/sw-mp-15-223-16-barrel-optics-ready-1-30rd-79999
  19. I'm somewhat surprised they didn't offer continuation, specifically since Big Blue had the VSP/RIF/TERA program to get their numbers the way wanted and then would be able to allow the others to continue to 20. Possibly because they didn't want their 'better' people (ie those that did get picked up for O-5) to have a chance to get out early with VSP/TERA? Also, assuming you got commissioned/went active duty in the early summer, wouldn't just about everyone who was twice passed over have at least 15 years and thus be allowed to retire under TERA?

Looks pretty heavy for a 5.56...I can only imagine that their .308 version would add an extra pound or close to it. The SCAR17S (.308 semi-auto gets great reviews, though it is a little pricy). Personally, I'm really looking forward to the Desert Tech MDR bullpup in .308 as their other products seem very legit. If it's anything like the Tavor (to bad only availsble in 5.56/9mm) then it will be a hit. I don't mind a little extra weight if it is balanced well.
  21. Hey now, I thought Jessica Rabbit was pretty damn hot back in the day. If you disagree with me then you're obviously a homosexual...'not that there's anything wrong about it'.
  22. What's crap is that they get to 'apologize' but yet we still have a Marine sitting in one of their Mexican prisons for something that should only require an 'apology'.
