  1. What are you talking about? As of less than a month ago, Ukraine has only had 31K troops killed…don’t you believe Zelenskyy? https://apnews.com/article/ukraine-troops-killed-zelenskyy-675f53437aaf56a4d990736e85af57c4
  2. Yeah! We’re on top! And by top…we’re talking about our debt. I’m sure our eventual economic demise was worth it. https://www.usdebtclock.org
  3. Just so I understand the argument you’re making, and correct me if I’m wrong: People shouldn’t take a stand on an issue they deem important if they don’t have first hand experience/know someone directly dealing with said issue?
  4. I have a feeling if a parent allows their 7 year old on a dirt bike and the kid kills themself then that parent could be charged with negligence, or worse. And we also don’t allow kids to get drunk at age 9, regardless of what their parents desires. I could give plenty of other examples. As for knowing any trans kids, I also don’t personally know any children who were the victims of statutory rape, but I know that it’s not good.
  5. The vast majority of these children grow out of it, so why push life alternating medication and/or surgery when it’s not needed? I remember wanting to do some really stupid things when I was a child and I’m glad my parents guided me in the right direction for the most part. And none of my silly desires would have had any extreme/lasting effects such as what I mentioned above. As for creating a nanny state in the home (which is already being done but we can argue each issue separately on their own merits if you’d like), what I’m suggesting is that you make it illegal for medical providers to prescribe such medication/perform such surgeries…at least without the minimum of an extremely high bar, which obviously isn’t being done today. We need to protect children from their confusion, not support it. As for the philosophy that they’ll just be screwed ip later in life and my family won’t, then that means we shouldn’t have any protections for children…and as libertarian as I am, that is just something that doesn’t sit well with me as children cannot consent to much of anything given their intelligence level at their young age. From the article mentioned below: “A psychiatrist who has presided over youth gender transition treatments for more than a decade says “four out of five” gender-questioning children eventually accept their bodies if no medical interventions are carried out.” https://nypost.com/2023/02/22/four-out-of-five-kids-who-question-their-gender-grow-out-of-it-trans-expert/
  6. But we made the CCP more powerful in the process, so there’s that.
  7. I don’t think young children have the mental ability to determine what’s going on in their bodies so much that a medical provider believes they should be given puberty blockers or be mutilated. I believe then that these vulnerable children should be protected as much as possible. There’s plenty of things we don’t allow children to do just because they want to…and yet with this issue, we have adults (both parents and medical providers) pushing these children to desire such things. It’s unbelievable. Once they’re an adult and can do anything else legally (to include drink alcohol) then sure, they can do whatever they want. This is about protecting young children from those who wish to harm them.
  8. If illegal immigration is so good for our economy and for American citizens then why are we having a “crisis”? Why are cities saying they need additional funding to help with these illegal aliens? It also wasn’t that long ago that Biden and his fellow Dems actually cared about illegal immigration…makes you wonder what changed.
  9. Yep…the progressives are going after your kids.
  10. I think the other guys have detailed what would have been my similar response, so need to add to it. It’s clear you don’t want to stop people from coming here illegally and it’s also clear you don’t want to make even an attempt at deporting people who are in the country illegally. We just have a huge difference of opinion when it comes to this issue.
  11. I appreciate your honesty on the matter, but then why should someone argue with you on the details of immigration when you’re not supportive of the most basic immigration law being enforced?—ie don’t come into our country illegally. As your Christianity argument, spare me. Unless you’re also for banning prostitution, abortion, divorce, etc. Oh and Christianity doesn’t say anything about having a complete welfare state to anyone who wants to come here. As for your ancestors, did they come before the 1930s? If so, what kind of social programs at the state and federal level were available to immigrants then and earlier compared to today? You can’t have open immigration and a welfare state…even some of the most progressive western countries understand how this won’t work well.
  12. A more easier question to ask to determine where someone stands on the overall issue is this: Should we make coming into our country without permission a crime, and at the minimum, try deport these people? Yes, resources determine how effective we can be at this, but if you don’t believe an attempt should be made where/when possible, then your answer to the above question is no. Another question to ask is that if someone wants to claim asylum but is coming in from a country they are not trying to escape, should they have to remain in that country before we determine if their asylum request is valid/approved? If someone doesn’t answer yes to both of these overall questions then it’s irrelevant discussing the smaller questions—they aren’t interested in securing the border from those who don’t want to come in the proper way.
  13. Biden apologizes for using the term “illegal” and says “they built the country”…but yeah, him and the Dems totally want to secure the border.
  14. I don’t see how this economic data overall is a good thing for our country, regardless if these stats include legal immigrants along with illegals (Biden’s own term now btw). Oh and the AZ Governor (Dem) vetoed a bill to allow state/local LE to arrest illegal immigrants for crossing the border illegally…and not a single Dem in Senate voted for an amendment to not count illegals when it comes to appropriating electoral college votes, etc. But yes, the Dems are now (as of the last couple of months) the party of stronger border security. But if you’re a Trump supporter then you’re definitely a danger to the country. Job gains are going to immigrants, and keeping young US-born men out of the workforce “At first glance, this perspective seems to be spot-on. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, right before COVID-19 hit, the fourth quarter of 2023 shows 2.7 million more people working. Except all those gains are among immigrants. The number of immigrants working over this period is up by 2.9 million, while 183,000 fewer US-born Americans are working.” https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/sb1231-gov-katie-hobbs-vetoes-bill-on-border-crossing-saying-the-bill-does-not-secure-our-border https://www.hagerty.senate.gov/press-releases/2024/03/08/hagerty-statement-on-senate-democrats-siding-with-illegal-immigrants-over-american-citizens-on-voting-power/
  15. The “West” aka the United States. Right now it doesn’t appear that the rest of Europe is willing to do anything aggressive to assist Ukraine, which tells me that they’re really not that concerned. It’s like I tell people about “climate change”—when the progressives start moving away in droves from the expensive cities on the water, then I’ll be concerned.
  16. Biden was yelling because he was amped on whatever medication he was on…seriously, look at how he talks most times, he sounds like he’s almost half dead and yet last night a lot different.
  17. Biden actually called Riley’s alleged murderer an “illegal” at his SOTU address and the left is losing their mind.
  18. I heard she has a book club and something about weight watchers?
  19. And Haley is finally out and Michelle Obama said the other day that she doesn’t want it (though I guess anyone can change their mind). Definitely looking like a Biden vs Trump rematch.
  20. Did you watch “The Last of Us” on HBO? There was a love story episode of two dudes, an episode of a blissful/thriving town where everyone is happy and working together (during the apocalypse) who were self proclaimed communists, and the only show focusing on religion was about a self proclaimed white Christian/pastor who raped juvenile women and who also had no problem killing people in his town for food (cannibalism). And if you’re a fan of the show “Fargo” on FX/Hulu, the last season was very much trying to depict that if you’re a white guy, you’re most likely either silly, dumb, weak, or extremely abusive and violent, and that the bad people are the local Sheriff’s department. Oh and the local abusive Sheriff believes in small government, helps arm their local militia, and are also Christian Trump supporters…and that the Feds are always the good people and women are the smart/tough ones and the heroes. I’m so glad that Hollywood isn’t trying to push an agenda.
  21. Which is why I used the example that something doesn’t need to make sense for it to happen/not happen…if Putin feels NATO country X is intentionally killing his troops when he didn’t want to fight NATO country X, then don’t be surprised how he reacts. And I appreciate your candid answer…which is why I’ll follow up then with: Let’s not poke the bear just because we’re confident in the end we can kill the bear if it gets pissed off and does something aggressive. There’s a reason NATO won’t allow Ukraine to join at this current moment.
  22. Ummm, we invaded Iraq because we said Saddam Hussein was an immediate threat due to their WMDs. Wars tend to escalate at times, and for what we think are stupid reasons. Just saying this as a response to your “no basis” as we had no basis to invade Iraq, but I still spent a year deployed there. So seriously, if a NATO country deploys combat troops to Ukraine and kills Russian troops and Putin believes their best response is to attack said NATO country to keep that from continuing to happen, does this invoke the charter?
  23. So, hypothetically, if a NATO country were to send troops into Ukraine and kill Russian soldiers and in response Russia then retaliates by striking that NATO country, would that invoke the NATO charter?
  24. Pretty sure it’s because of their new 737 orders being delayed due to certification issues.
