    T-6s Grounded; More OBOGS Issues

Except I didn't make the argument for unlimited training, that's a straw man you made (logical fallacy #1). Also, you're advocating under a false dichotomy (logical fallacy #2). Fielding VR potato and increasing hours is not mutually exclusive , especially under my argument that the reason we're faced with jousting for monetary position in the first place is the gargantuan contractor graft that has ballooned our defense budget to morally abhorrent levels. Have you instructed under the current VR products/paradigm? I have. This is work that belongs in an actual test squadron. This has zero place in operational training squadrons. We're about to surge in the next month in order to fix the timeline blunder created out of what was an amateur and hasty implementation of immature tech/process for the sake of appeasing a couple generals. BOHICA October. Here comes a hell of a lot of flying time and legacy syllabus to fix the VR blunder. The irony. Again, I'm not making a Luddite argument, just refuting the claim less seat time is a sunk cost in this discussion. It is not.

    T-6s Grounded; More OBOGS Issues

maybe if our defense budget priorities were not lined with so much defense contract graft, perhaps giving our pilots hella more seat time wouldn't be such blasphemy. We create most of the problems we're accosted about solving....

What's wrong with the Air Force?

Maybe. But a dismissal is a felony equivalent in civilian employment circles. So even for regionals it's probably a stretch; the regionals have plenty of low time applicants with clean criminal records. This cat is marked. Nobody in the civilian world gets confinement for consensual sex. So it's not an even playing field, when it comes to UCMJ adjudications versus the civilian criminal law landscape. I am of the opinion his sentence was an overreach. And to keep it in the BUFF family: Kelly Flynn (ugh, beer word) got a straight up pass for doing the same fucking thing in 1997, while arguing sexist bias towards her as an affirmative defense for her bored fucketry in Minot, and the lack of hands or work ethic as a short-stint Buff co-pilot (IOW, the golden key defense, STANDARD). Walked away from a court martial outright, and into a layup general discharge, which allowed her into ASA and the eventual UPS job she's been riding on since 2005, her name legally changed of course. Nevermind the fact she got zero confinement for her equal disregard for the almighty UCMJ. The civilians at the time absolutely sided with her in her quest to decry the anachronisms of the "patriarchal military justice system". But this cat does the same thing 20 years later, even making a similar UCI argument on appeal no less, and this is all of a sudden blasphemy? I can't stand that hypocrisy. Look, I don't personally know this cat, but what they did to him punishment wise is bullshit. Hell, give him confinement as the price for pulling that insubordinate sexual stunt (beats a barrel roll in a Q400 I suppose). But the dismissal (dishonorable equivalent for officer) was flagrant. Different spanks for different genitals. Equality my ass. The SQ/CC in question was a straight up POS, and ruined the careers of other young men who actually didn't do anything but be falsely accused by the spouses of bitter SNAPs who didn't get their dream assignment. Not a good track record for DLF on this front.

T-6 Air Force trainer crashes in Texas

That mall is associated with the ST-IN groundtrack, if my recollection of T-6 PIT is still halfway right.

T-6 Air Force trainer crashes in Texas

I was literally doing my egress rehack at RND today, thinking fuck why do I have to take the day off to rehash this shit. Then this happens on my way out the gate. Martin Baker FTW.

What's wrong with the Air Force?

It's not just relationships, the ARMY made the argument hot chicks are a legitimate distraction towards mission accomplishment, by asserting ugly women in PR efforts retains more credibility. It was a bit hyperbolic of an argument, plus it fell flatter than a MAGA comedian at the Apollo, but there you go. A lot are thinking it, someone (the ARMY, go figure) was bound to blurt it out publicly. I don't live in the world of what things should be, I live in the world of what things are. As long as men are always thirsty fuckers, thristy Fucketry around sexually marketable women (deployed or not) will endure. I'm not trying to make an endorsement here, I'm just saying....

What's wrong with the Air Force?

huggy, we know you have fond memories of the place. That's great. I did my time at DLF as both a single and a family man. And the latter almost didn't happen, thanks to that place. The Lost Decade affected us all, not just airline folks. So let's keep things in perspective. I don't think it's a matter of sympathy, but I can tell you categorically that assignment was a hard inflection point in both my personal and professional life. This isn't just about FAIP pussy grabbing on the weekends or some other sophomoric shit, it's about a lot of other opportunity costs that affect the direction of a household in ways I would expect a family man to understand. I also have it as fact I did a much longer consecutive stint than you did at the place, so I'm qualified to call bullshit on the implication the place is devoid of opportunity costs. Which is another way of saying: Anybody can hold their breath for 3.5 years (PCS outprocessing pussyfooting around don't count). It's not the end of the world, I don't disagree, but let's not be so dismissive the legitimate costs that the place carries on folks with other life circumstances. That's all I'm saying.

They're citing GO-1 over on FB as to the reason they killed the dog. It's a tough job you know, storming the CENTCOM beaches of Normandy. What a painful pantomime of life this organization has become. Anthony Swofford shacked it imo when interviewed about it 15 or so years ago.

In that spirit, fleshlights in care packages might help too, asking for a friend of course....
  13. 200? T-6 touchdown speed is 80 knots bruh if you make even a halfassed attempt at flaring. You're at 50 knots in <1500 feet. Much closer to a piston single than a T-38 for instance. I'd still take the seat though, these airplanes are not national treasures.

What is next for the UPT-Next graduates?

Direct to Viper (Kelly). Feedback so far is not good. But this is third hand RUMINT so don't quote me.

What's wrong with the Air Force?

BTW, this goes beyond gossipy drama, the DoD wastes tons of talent every year on preventable retention losses over point blank basing/PCS decisions. It's not like there is a shortage of middle managers....oh wait a minute. But you warrior monks keep talking about personal moral bankruptcy being the problem. lol
