  1. Can you imagine if an active duty member was not at work, in the hospital for a few days and didn't notify their supervisor/commander. Yet another double standard by Fat Albert...he was the WRONG choice for so many reasons. Biden and the elitist Dems don't care, maintain power at all costs.
  2. The DEI hire was not the issue, it was the damage done by Jimbo who ruined the culture and legacy built by Bobby. Jimbo built a necrotic culture then ran away in the middle of the night to get paid, not surprising ran A&M into the dirt - oh and he had weed problems of his own three freshmen suspended for smoking weed in the LOCKER ROOM. I think Norvell has done a great job of rebuilding the FSU program and brand but how you carry yourself through adversity matters and yes it is part of the culture. I know this is personal to you as an alum, but this has happened to numerous other schools who were either left out of the playoff or worse didn't get enough support when we VOTED on a national champion. Yes FSU should have boycotted the bowl game, but they made a conscious decision to play (likely a monetary decision), so yes the players should have stepped up. Opting out of bowl games is a relatively new phenomenon, it certainly didn't happen when I played ball with Jim Thorpe and the Gipper. I think back to many years of playing this game (2nd grade through college), and there was a recurring them of "team" and "family" instilled by coaches that you hear kids talk about today. Unfortunately driven by NIL and the NFL many college players don't really believe that and drop their allegiance at the drop of a hat. Fortunately some kids still get it and I would point to an incident that was captured after the Alabama v Michgan game when everyone stopped watching. Tyler Booker and J.J. McCarthy played on the same high school football team. Tyler found JJ and listen to what he said..."I love you baby, go finish the job, I am so happy for you bro" THAT is culture that matters.
  3. Naked gunner hugs are a sole product of the MH-53 Pavelow community. I believe it started in Korea when AFSOC used to keep a detachment of Pavelows in theater. In my many years on the gunpig I never saw said maneuver attempted by a gunship guy or girl.
  4. What in the world? So if we are gonna play scoreboard, how many Natty's does FSU have? Miami has finished what they started five times (should have been six except for a pass interference called 6.9 minutes after the play in double overtime against OSU). My comment about "finishing what you started" was the season, regardless if you win or not. Your comment seems to define finishing as winning or you have failed, which now I get because it matches the current culture at FSU, instant they are not in the CFP almost 50% of your player quit when the vast majority from UGA decided to finish the season.
  5. Because you finish what you started...ABSOLUTELY a culture problem. At the first hint of trouble all the key FSU players ran for the door and themselves...that says something about a team. Meanwhile the vast majority of UGA's players stayed and PLAYED...one of the reasons they won Nattys back to back...FINISH what you started.
  6. Having personally talked to a few folks that were on said CV-22 when it happened, they are lucky to be alive, one thought for sure they were going to roll over into the trees. Yes he was Q-3'd but Daddy Slife stepped in and assured Fiel, "I can fix him."
  7. Screaming at his wife. When another GO tells you about going to his house and hearing him pull his wife into the hallway then scold her loud enough for all the other senior leaders to hear...he is a sociopath lunatic and proof the system is completely broken.
  8. Kirby is smoking crack if he thinks he beat the undefeated FSU team that played this season. He has a much bigger point to make but he didn't want to take a shot at Mike Norvell. The vast majority of Georgia's key players elected to play even if declared for the draft, FINISH what you started. 67% of FSU's starting players opted out of the bowl game for the portal or the draft. That is a SERIOUS culture problem and it starts with the coach. What is even worse is ESPN campaigned for them to be left out of the CFP but then reversed course and is upset they didn't try in the bowl game. TV money, the portal and the NIL deal has changed the game...for the worse. August 31, 2024...whats the bet? You get here and we can fly down to the game. At least we can both agree on below....When FSU threatened to not show up at the game, I thought they were kidding.
  9. Big brother coming to USAFA, they are actually hiring an outside contractor to monitor the Facebook account of cadets. Interested parties may view the solicitation here and bid accordingly.
  10. BAHAHAAA The Gator Program continues to self-immolate.
  11. @Biff_T How much did you drink yesterday?
  12. Recipe Got my beer on base earlier in the week, slowly trolling through the Class 6 pushing a cart full of military special bourbon and vodka...oh I was wearing black socks and sandals.
  13. My parents are farmers, step dad is the horticulture expert and Mom is a CPA who ran the finance part of the business. They always walked me through the numbers, shocking how small a cut of the final price goes to the farmer. The numbers you posted are striking and paint a bleak picture. 1940's through 1978 were very flat with a sub 40 index. Big spikes in 1976-1980 (Carter's term and high inflation period). The steady march above 100 starts with NAFTA and Clinton, most have no idea what that did to the American Farmer. The regulations on our side of the Rio Grand put most American farmers on the defensive. The rules stated American farmers could not use certain methods or chemicals (Methyl Bromide), but allowed unlimited importation from countries like Mexico that used those methods and chemicals to increase production and keep price low. I really Hoped W would have pulled us out...Obama's term established a new base around 250. Spike in 2019 was from a salmonella outbreak, prices fell right back down then went up again (like everything else), with COVID. We are now post COVID and the primary driver towards 400 is inflation, a four fold increase in just 25 years. Standard cabbage, not the specialty stuff I bought today is up 18.4% from a year ago today.
  14. My wife makes a salad using Napa Cabbage on holidays that every one loves. I just went to the store to purchase a head of Napa Cabbage for Christmas dinner and paid $10.71 for a single head of cabbage. This was Winn Dixie (Publix was out), not some FuFu granola Whole Foods or specialty store. The damage done by the empty meatbag sitting at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave is staggering. Yet his clown Press Secretary continues to say inflation is falling. I don't know how average families are getting by with these prices.
  15. A new remote assignment coming soon to an island not near you or anything... US Air Force to reclaim Pacific airfield that launched atomic bombings as it looks to counter China Actually a very good strategic move, while still on the same range ring a Guam, it will dilute China's ability to mass fires on Guam (sounds like they are beefing up the international airport as well.
  16. I think they both have the right, who has the will.
  17. They are suing to avoid the $130M exit fee. Very short-sighted in my opinion, will damage their basketball team and other sports.
