  1. So in the Hog FAIPs are staying in the jet? Even with the draw down in A10 Units?
  2. Anyone have any SA on FAIP career progression right now? Are fighter guys getting back to back ops tours or are FAIPs the first in line for staff gigs/RPAs after their first ops tours? Are the bomber guys getting upgraded to A/Cs and sticking around or are they getting sent of for staff jobs too?
  3. Rumor has it the PIT syllabus is getting shorter. Is the same happening to IFF? And does anyone know what will happen to IFF with half the fighter squadrons standing down.
  4. Has the block-16 upgrade been accomplished in the bone yet, and does it make it a more pilot friendly to fly? Also, looking for current flying ops. Is the A/C problem solved and how much time are co pilots getting?
  5. With places like TUI being more closely monitored, where would you suggest a new FAIP trying to check the box should go? I know I can get 8 credits from ERAU for PIT.
  6. Has anyone heard of a fixed wing pilot going to CV-22s then over to helos? And does it help to fly Ospreys if fixed wing guys are looking to fly HH60s for the guard or fly civilian helos?
  7. Has anyone heard of T-6 FAIPs heading over to CV-22s? I was just trying to get some info, chances of ending up at Cannon/ deployment schedules/ flight time/ anything useful. And does CV-22 time make it hard to get a civilian job since you are not logging fixed or rotor time?
  8. If a FAIP was picked up to fly the Duece, is it possible to make a career out of it and remain in the community? Or is it more likely he would have to find another MWS after 3 years?

  12. I am currently a T6 FAIP with a 38 background trying to get some opinions on the best MC130 variant and wondering what my chances are of landing one of these. Right now the MC130H looks like it has the best locations and mission. My other question was if all MC130s were deployed the same amount.

  14. I saw that going from AF fixed-wing to Helos might not be a good move for experienced pilots but has anyone heard of T-6 FAIPs going to helos with a T38 background?
