    Hello Cinephiles,

Regarding “Ford V. Ferrari”. Good film about Americans beating the Europeans at their own game. Merica!  Do you even need to know more?

Can be slow and extra dramatic at some times but...ya know...gotta appeal to the masses. More represents the clash between driver/engineer vs corporate committees than Ford vs Ferrari but a good film non the less. I rate a 6/10. I believe the film will be welcomed by the racing community as it shows the true spirit of the driver and the engineers. Always striving to expand and often exceed the envelope.

GM might have to take ANOTHER one of those bail outs after this propaganda...

A glowing review, complete with a prediction of a fast changing automotive industry, 6 outta 10. This man EPRs.

So am I. I ended up having to kinda be a jerk to my lawyer. I was supposed to have a Final Judgement on the 25th, he screwed up the paperwork and forgot to put in there that my ex could change her name and then I think he just put it on the back burner since he already had my money. I called him up and told him I had retained a new lawyer and he all of a sudden started working again. Told me it should be done this week, even if he has to hand deliver paperwork to the judge.

Do ya?  I'm OK if true but there is so much back and forth.

As soon as I heard a politician say, "The science is settled" I was immediately suspect.

  4. It’s a bunch of bullshit, they put her up because you’re not “supposed” to criticize her due to her age/gender/disability, oldest trick in the book.    It’s slimy, even worse when you look her parents up, she is being played like a puppet.  Play adult games get adult results.

I’ll feed the troll, it’s both.  From a CAF perspective we have already seen what cutting the F-16 B course syllabus does to the CAF units, they call and bitch about the new graduates ability, some even FEB’d.  When these students hit the non-UPT world, they are going to be thrown to the wolves.  Lacking proficiency in the basics?  Wash out of IFF or the B course.  Somehow get to a CAF unit and do something dangerous?  Have fun in your FEB.  It isn’t these students fault they are part of this “experiment” but the bro’s aren’t going to let them kill anybody much less themselves.  It simply isn’t the CAF’s (or any combat unit) responsibility to teach what UPTN is skipping or leaving out.  There will be some success stories I’m sure, but some students will be a joke.  I give this another few years before the USAF is on to some other “good” idea.  The CAF isn’t going to lower their standards because AETC did, the whole thing is a bad idea.

Wright-patt medical gurus have the waiver authority for ejection seats. I have a bunch of titanium fusing my vertebrae after a snowboard accident, was DNIF 6 months but they approved a return to ejection seat aircraft saying no guarantee it would survive an ejection.

There are probably crew / RPA options for you also.

Say it with me, single seat, single engine is the only way to fly.

Former viper bro now working in the embassy world already crushed this WOM - according to him, only applies to children of parents who were not naturalized US citizens at the time of child’s birth. So basically this affects very few people.

Another bait article completely misleading people, likely in order to incite dislike for the current administration. Standard bullshit that even smart people choose to form an immediate opinion on without doing any actual research/fact checking.

Bingo!  This crap is being pushed on Reddit pretty hard, people are buying it.  Utter bullshit.

If you don't mind me asking, were any of you doing resistance training on your neck while flying?

Those machines USED to be in every fighter squadron, all given away in the mid 2000’s.  We discovered they were injuring our necks worse than the jet.

  9. It’s the blind leading the blind around here.  Reserve T-38s are for instructors in the 340th, spread around all the UPT bases and Randolph.  You (most generally) already are established in a major weapons system before you become an instructor in this unit.  I’ve heard of a very few (maybe 1) person getting hired with no experience to join the 340th.  Once in UPT you will be taught by these reserve Instructors when they are available but usually taught by active duty folks, there are way more of them.  The exception to all of this is the reserve T-38 red air bubbas, but they are not in the 340th.  Clear as mud?

edit:  the 340th also has T6 and T1 instructors.

IDGAF if Maj Gen Wills “cares” about anything or not. He’s got a job to do, and it’s extremely disappointing that he doesn’t grasp the concept of increased retention pay being cheaper than the expense of replacing experienced guys. He also thinks he can’t afford to compete with the airlines, which is a foolish take on the problem. The truth is that he’s spending billions to train the airlines pilots for them.

He cares, he also bleeds blue so what do you expect?  I knew him at DLF, straight shooter but definitely the party line.

My condition isn't fix-able. I've been told it's hereditary or possibly a injury from childhood, you can say the explanations are endless.

Regardless, my guess is that if I can somehow disprove the docs original findings by providing biannual exam results I can say "look, it's dormant" then would I have a shot to get in?

Try for the waiver, but they are going to ask what is preventing your condition from coming back tomorrow.  I’m guessing nothing is preventing it so the answer will still be the same.

    Yes.

Ive seen a dude get pulled over and given a DUI for a 0.08 blown in a 0.08 allowed state. Upper management immediately gave this guy an Art 15. The DUI was thrown out in court. However, the Art 15 remained and he was separated during the great purge.

Thats pretty darn good management right there

You can get a DUI for .05, watch your ass.
