    Can be slow and extra dramatic at some times but...ya know...gotta appeal to the masses. More represents the clash between driver/engineer vs corporate committees than Ford vs Ferrari but a good film non the less. I rate a 6/10. I believe the film will be welcomed by the racing community as it shows the true spirit of the driver and the engineers. Always striving to expand and often exceed the envelope.

    It’s a bunch of bullshit, they put her up because you’re not “supposed” to criticize her due to her age/gender/disability, oldest trick in the book.    It’s slimy, even worse when you look her parents up, she is being played like a puppet.  Play adult games get adult results.

    I’ll feed the troll, it’s both.  From a CAF perspective we have already seen what cutting the F-16 B course syllabus does to the CAF units, they call and bitch about the new graduates ability, some even FEB’d.  When these students hit the non-UPT world, they are going to be thrown to the wolves.  Lacking proficiency in the basics?  Wash out of IFF or the B course.  Somehow get to a CAF unit and do something dangerous?  Have fun in your FEB.  It isn’t these students fault they are part of this “experiment” but the bro’s aren’t going to let them kill anybody much less themselves.  It simply isn’t the CAF’s (or any combat unit) responsibility to teach what UPTN is skipping or leaving out.  There will be some success stories I’m sure, but some students will be a joke.  I give this another few years before the USAF is on to some other “good” idea.  The CAF isn’t going to lower their standards because AETC did, the whole thing is a bad idea.

    Those machines USED to be in every fighter squadron, all given away in the mid 2000’s.  We discovered they were injuring our necks worse than the jet.

    It’s the blind leading the blind around here.  Reserve T-38s are for instructors in the 340th, spread around all the UPT bases and Randolph.  You (most generally) already are established in a major weapons system before you become an instructor in this unit.  I’ve heard of a very few (maybe 1) person getting hired with no experience to join the 340th.  Once in UPT you will be taught by these reserve Instructors when they are available but usually taught by active duty folks, there are way more of them.  The exception to all of this is the reserve T-38 red air bubbas, but they are not in the 340th.  Clear as mud?

    edit:  the 340th also has T6 and T1 instructors.

    Regardless, my guess is that if I can somehow disprove the docs original findings by providing biannual exam results I can say "look, it's dormant" then would I have a shot to get in?

    Try for the waiver, but they are going to ask what is preventing your condition from coming back tomorrow.  I’m guessing nothing is preventing it so the answer will still be the same.
