  1. It all makes sense though when you realize it’s all just to bribe people to vote for you. A bunch of these lefties probably know it will kill jobs, so they get a 2 for 1 bribe. Tell the poor people they’re going to make $25 an hour, you get their votes. Natural economics takes over and said employees now lose their jobs and need govt suppprt; perfect opportunity to bribe for further votes with more govt handouts.
  2. Remember, “no human is illegal”. Or at least thats what the cardboard yard signs tell me in rich, all white areas of liberal cities where the closest interaction these elites get with immigrants is through the house window while they do their yard work.
  3. I guess he’s missed that the Ukrainians are still desperate for F-16s and that the Russian victory in Avdiivka was able to be completed by the Russians achieving air superiority in that region.
  4. Garland announces the DoJ will fight Voter ID laws. Imagine being against proving that you are legal to vote. This should be a no brainer, non-political issue. Unless you want people who aren’t legal to vote to somehow vote?
  5. Having some insight into the Army fixed wing world through civilian work; it’s sought after because it’s so rare and is seen as a golden ticket. Historically Army FW was always something you got into later in your career, so it was highly desired as basically a late career cush gig. The initial entry fixed wing track is relatively recent where guys are finishing the Lakota and then going straight to FW training. Even still most guys weren’t gunning for FW from the start and only started to look at it when they realized their class ranking put them in contention for it. That being said, the initial entry fixed wing good deal is probably close to coming to an end. The Army is retiring the bulk of their ISR C-12 fleet and doesn’t have the replacement program up and running yet. So right now they are fat on fixed wing pilots. The initial entry guys are currently going to fixed wing training, completing it, and then going straight to the Blackhawk course with no promise of if or when they may get back to the fixed wing side. So much for “fixed wing for life”, which is what they were telling these kids just a few years ago. Welcome to the Army!
  6. Well that didn’t take long. Someone or something wiped his entire post history. I can only imagine if he was a right wing extremist the media would have gladly shared such awful posts in order to prove the grave threat of right wing extremism. Left wing extremist in uniform though, wipe that shit and shove it under the proverbial rug. Classic.
  7. Reddit apparently found homeboy’s post history. I won’t link to it in case it turns out to not be legit; but just go through the recent posts in the topic about this on r/AirForce if you want to see. It’s not a good look if true. Lots of far left and anarchist garbage on there, including celebrating deaths of US Service members.
  8. So I guess this isn't the type of white extremist the military has been looking for?
  9. She polls poorly against deep red republicans who are addicted to Trump. But she does poll fairly well with independents and would likely even pull in a lot of frustrated, centrist democrats. Could she win the general election? Likely not. But whoever wins the next election is a lame duck. If she wants a political future and another potential run at President, it may be beneficial to keep her face and voice out there as an anti-establishment candidate. Since it looks like it's going to be Biden v Trump again, no matter who wins, the country is just going to continue to go backwards. So 2028 is shaping up to be massive for the direction of the country. No Labels was on Fox and Friends this morning and there are already articles out about her potential to join that for 2024. Nikki Haley Launching Third-Party 'No Labels' Run, GOP Consultant Predicts (msn.com) Maybe it doesn't happen. For awhile it seemed like Manchin may give it a go. But I don't think it's out of the question.
  10. I think it’s possible she may decide to be a 3rd party candidate, so continuing on for now keeps her on the campaign trail. I wouldn’t be shocked if she ends up running under the “No Labels” ticket.
  11. Sadly this will change nothing. The Democrat party believes this is worth it in order the continue to import demographic change. What’s a few murderers, foreign agents, terrorists, etc… if it means potential voters in decades to come? Also don’t forget the party that tells you they are anti racism also believes that the way you vote is based on brown skin color and Hispanic heritage. Fuck this administration. Pile more blood on the hands of Joe Biden. I’m so sorry to this girl’s family and friends, what a senseless death that could have been prevented.
  12. I’ll follow up on my post though and say that something that could be a dangerous development, even over VHF voice channels, is did they use some sort of AI spoofing tech to closely match the voice of the on-shift controller? I saw that mentioned on Reddit. No idea if that’s what happened but that would actually be a concerning threat to civil aviation since VHF frequencies are not hard to access.
  13. Was this really a cyber attack, or just some terrorists who found their best English speaking pal to try and pretend to be ATC on the VHF frequency the El Al flight was already on?
  14. Wow, that’s good to know. I do frequently check and haven’t had an issue in my 3 years on the IMA side. Seems maybe I just got lucky though.
  15. You shouldn’t have to submit your LES to get points. I schedule everything through UTAPS and as soon as my supervisor approves a worked IDT in UTAPS it gets submitted for pay and points. I’ve never had an issue with the points or pay not showing up.
  16. So this is what POTUS is tweeting?
  17. I had thought it would be for sim instructor slots, but the posting does seem to be geared towards a flying position. Hour requirements match the OPM mins for any flying position. Locations are UPT bases, except for Tyndall. What’s at Tyndall that would need a GS pilot?
  18. I’m pretty sure Gearhog was being facetious. Either that or he’s had a complete reversal on his view of the Ukraine conflict.
  19. You couldn’t have scripted a more perfect summation of the left’s current policies in one incident if you tried. Beats cops on the street. Arrested but released immediately with zero bail. Crossed the border illegally. Several had already been arrested before. Flicks off cameras on the way out of jail. Welcome to the left’s American Dream in 2024.
  20. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/10/27/antisemitism-left-rising/ https://www.newsweek.com/its-time-admit-it-left-has-antisemitism-problem-opinion-1608397 https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2023-12-19/antisemitism-hamas-israel-gaza-academia Plenty of discussion out there, from left leaning sources nonetheless, about the left’s problem with anti-semitism. The left’s issue, as many of these articles discuss, is that though it is (sometimes) less violent in its nature than right wing neo-nazi/skinhead type garbage, it’s far more reaching in its mainstream cultural adoption.
  21. Unreal to me that we’re going to get the vegetable vs Orange Man part II. The Republican Party, both the people running it and the base of voters, continues to prove they have absolutely zero long term strategy or vision. I personally don’t think he’ll win, despite the current administration being the biggest joke and embarrassment that has ever graced the Oval Office. But let’s say Trump does win. He’s an instant lame duck president, that will bring back all the chaos of his first 4 years, and then some. Now to be fair some of that will be induced from the unhinged left, but Trump is going to bring plenty himself. And let’s be honest here, the pendulum is going to swing hard back to the left after another 4 years or Trump, and there will be no hope for whoever runs for the republicans in 2028. All the crazy leftist stuff will be right back in play after getting another four years of TDS to raise the temperature. Desantis was likely the best candidate to actually help put effective policy in place and coherently stand up to far leftist garbage. But for some reason a whole swath of otherwise normal people are addicted to supporting a narcissist who only cares about himself.
  22. She was just interviewed on Fox. To her credit she clarified she’s a pilot select and honestly she sounds like she’s got her shit together. Could be far worse advocates for the Air Force that are in the public eye. I think she’ll do well down the road.
  23. Appreciate the responses, looks like it is going to be the ass pain I assumed it would be. I should be done with the PME course in March which gives some cushion from my July R/R date. As far as rescheduling days, I’m an IMA, so I don’t support my unit on a traditional drill schedule. Further complicating it is I support a civilian organization under the DoD that is having budget constraints beyond just CR items. AT and IDT day discussions have centered around being pushed further into the FY, potentially beyond my R/R date, even if a subsequent CR gets passed. Points only has been discussed and as of now is not being authorized. I am thinking about reaching out to the Academy and CAPRAP programs and seeing what it takes to pick them up as additional duties. At the very least it’s additional OPR fodder even if the budget stuff gets worked out. Ultimately I think I’ll be good points wise if the PME points get credited on time. Hopefully the budget will work itself out and this will be moot.
  24. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens if a DEI hire in the future plows a fully loaded aircraft into the ground; reference the Atlas Air crash. That whole story should be a big red flag to the industry. Honestly kudos to Mesa, often known as a bottom feeder regional, for refusing to upgrade that clown. It’s not hard to imagine why Atlas was maybe afraid to fire him. All this to say, it doesn’t matter what skin color you are, gender you are, etc… to be able to competently fly an aircraft. But if you use purely immutable characteristics as your guide to hiring, you will eventually get a poorly qualified candidate at the controls. If you want diversity in aviation you have to start at the ground floor. You need to get kids involved who are from communities that have little or no aviation ties. One of the coolest things I’ve done is be involved with Young Eagles and CAP in the SoCal area. We got lots of kids up in the air and around airplanes who otherwise would never even gotten near that opportunity. Hopefully a few of them stick with it. The problem is, those long term changes take 20 years to show up in statistics, and no CEO is going to let his or her follow ons take credit for something they could fix in a few short years with just biased hiring practices.
