  1. Looks like a typical recovery into Bagram to me.

  2. Alexandria Occasional Cortex is the deus ex machina for Republicans. Seriously, with all the conspiracy theories out there, it makes more sense to me that AOC is a republican plant than to believe the archetypal millennial has descended from the heavens to save Donald Trump from himself. Overpriced undergraduate degree in a subject she knows nothing about? Check Convinced she knows more than experts in a variety of fields? Check Worked in the restaurant industry and has a terrible credit score? Check Finds racist white male privilege in every perceived injustice? Check Completely unable to judge character and thus associates with people looking to benefit financially from campaign finance fraud? Check Terrified the ecological Holocaust is moments away, but unwilling to make environmental changes in her own life? Check Considers herself qualified for a job merely by merit of her existence? Check Obsessed with seeing herself in social media? Check I could go on and on and on. You couldn't make her more stereotypical if she was slathered in avocado There's an important philosophical point somewhere in here about abandoning principals for political gain and the road to ruin, but I'd rather watch the train wreck than consider the implications for now.

  3. ^^This is a very fun gun - probably my favorite gun to shoot. And yes, my 8 and 9 year olds have been shooting it too, as well as my wife (who is supposedly afraid of the AR-15.) My 15/22 was having a FTE or two every single magazine. I finally settled in on that special CCI "tactial" 40 grain ammo, which is specifically designed for this gun. It looks very similar to the 40gr mini-mags, which is the only ammo that cleanly feeds my Savage 64 without jamming. But I actually emailed CCI and asked the difference - they said the 40gr "tactical" has a slightly shorter nose compared to the standard 40gr mini-mag, thus optimized for the feed mechanism on the S&W 15/22. Also, my gunsmith said these guns take a large amount of rounds to properly break in, due to the polymer parts having small burrs, etc. Not sure how true this is, but after about 500 rounds - some with federal and some with CCI - mine doesn't jam any more and it is a ton of fun to shoot. Suppressor should be here in about 2-3 more months to make it the ultimate backyard toy.

  5. I got one for a great deal last year. I love it as a plinking gun that’s cheap to shoot. I’ve also used it as a super cheap training gun for moving while firing and some other other drills. It’s a great 90% training solution/cheap to shoot. I probably average one or two misfires or failure to fully eject per mag, almost every time it’s when I am rapidly firing and I use what ever cheap crap ammo that’s in my stock pile. Might annoy some people but I look at it as good real life practice clearing the problem in my drills.

  8. Yeah, I think I put a $100 Holsun red dot on it, and I love it. I also love the front MLOC - I found a $15 dollar bipod on amazon that is amazing quality for the price. Figured I would experiment with bipods/red dots on this thing before altering my AR15s too much. This thing looks, feels and operates a lot like the real thing - minus the lighter weight and lack of any kickback, it makes a great AR-15 trainer gun for 5 cents per round. I think I tried the Federal copper tips, Federal "semi auto" rounds, that cheap thunderbolt crap, and a few CCIs. Goes without saying that 22s are finicky on ammo, but that tactical CCI round was money. http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/detail.aspx?use=1&loadNo=0956

  9. I’ll share my new gun since M2 posted the you’ll shoot your eye kid. Picked up an M&P 15/22 at the end of Feb From PSA for a good deal. Not as good as they where running over black fri with red dot and carrying case but still. Plus S&W is runnning. a $50 rebate on rifles fir mil folks. Always wanted a dedicated AR in 22 anyway. Plus the kids can step up to this one next. Edit I’ll take it out to shoot it off the boat and hope it doesn’t get lost in the lake like the rest of mine.

  10. Agree with Stitch - starting a local club can be great. In fact, the only con of doing so vs. an AF aero club is you don't have government subsidization, but a non-AF club can win in every other way, from better airplanes to no bullshit red tape. Remember, the best thing the AF does is fuck up something that should be awesome.

  11. Yup - I don't like accusations without proof but where there is smoke there's usually fire, after this dust up the political talk shows have been saying that Diamond Joe is know for this weird / rude / inappropriate familiarity... doesn't matter to me as he is a confirmed POS after I saw his "white man's culture" speech comments. https://thefederalist.com/2019/03/28/bidens-attack-on-white-mans-culture-is-a-mix-of-historical-illiteracy-and-dishonesty/ White privilege, guilt, yada yada yada is horseshit and he knows it, now Rich & Connected privilege is something... Like getting your kids into colleges they would never honestly be competitive for thru nefarious means and I'm sure Ole Joe when he was VP had no connection to getting a 40+ dude a special commission into the Navy Reserve for his son who then pops positive for coke on a Drill Weekend, nah no way.... there was no planning to get military service in preparation for a political campaign, no way... https://www.cnn.com/2014/10/16/politics/hunter-biden-discharged-from-navy/index.html Anyway, the Onion knows Diamond Joe best... https://www.theonion.com/tag/joseph-biden

  12. Love these parodies. They fit so many memes... Best one I've heard for future Dear Leader AOC is Alexsandria Occasional Cortex. Made me laugh anyway. And regarding pervy Uncle Joe Biden: Seems odd that the fuzzy memories of a 15 year old some 30-40 years ago must be believed even when details or any proof is lacking, yet the on film groping of Mr. Biden is finding essentially two camps - 1) That's "just Joe." or 2) That's "just Joe" but he shouldn't run for President (from the legion of already declared candidates mostly. But no denials. Except from him. Even though multiple escapades are on tape.

  13. Have you talked to any flight schools? They're open when students are available. How else would you get your night portion done? A large portion of my flight training was done after 1830 on a weekday in the summer.

  14. She starts speaking at 33”, I don’t know what’s going on, but she is blatantly making shit up, like not even trying. We all know they stretch the truth, focus only on positives and lie, but this is different. I used to be in awe on how the Democrats stuck together no matter what, no one can stick with this, she belongs in a hospital, I’m serious.

  17. PME in-res exists across the services and not unique to the Air Force. In peace time, this is simply a rat race (as an example, no derogatory insinuation intended). At the maze's exit there is an O-10 billet waiting for the lucky rat. To get there, the rat has to successfully complete various tasks, DO, Sq/CC, PME in-res, various levels of O-6 command, exec tours, joint staff tours, inter-agency tours, SLS, Pentagon, MAJCOM command, COCOM command and etc. For most in the Air Force, PME in-res and Sq/CC are the "pinnacle", but really they are just entry level objectives in the grand scheme of things. So while you don't need PME in-res to be a Sq/CC, but you are likely to need at least one of the two PME in-res to be a GO. Knows the rules of the game before you play. Or to quote WarGames: "The only winning move is not to play."

  18. And this is different than the last decade because...? Hell, I could complain that the SR with 100 people had 45 DPs to give out. The guy with 1 person has to fight for a DP at the MLR. Very similar to what happened to me... Two more IPZs on the base and I'd have a DP. Instead I just have the "I wish I had a DP for him" push line.

  21. Attended the Travis AFB Thunderbird Airshow last weekend. I couldn't help but notice the wearing of 2 piece flight suits by more than a few AF crew members. Is the one piece flight suit being phased out? Which units are authorized in wearing the 2 piece? Is it optional or required? What are your feelings on the wearing of the 2 piece? I assume it's more functional but less appealing to me. I guess the AF is returning to its Army roots, with the OCPs and 2 piece flight suits. By the way, the female Thunderbird pilot's weekend performance was the best in the group while putting on her makeup in flight.
