  3. AMD is trying to have a compnay picnic at the barbecue area by the Bra, and apparently whoever will be manning the grill needs to receive food safety training from the EFSS before we're allowed to do it. I'm rolling my eyes as hard as I can.

  4. Matmacwc and brabus are spot on. Valid question, but recommend shutting this one down before someone says something they’ll regret. PM me and we can go .mil or .smil as required if you want more. Is SIPR baseops still a thing?

  5. At least there is a reliable chance of food at a barbeque. I'm not so sure the same can be said at the chow halls, given the state of the last few meals. (Background: They're switching over contractors for food services and don't have the people, processes, or supply chains unfooked yet. A major for EFSS was taking out the trash bags of disposable plates as SNCOs were manning scrambled eggs serving spoons this morning at the BPC for breakfast, trying to make up for the manpower shortage with 'leadership' and bodies from everywhere else on base. Strongly correlated rumor has something about the previous contractor's penchant for human trafficing as part of that bid change decision.) The 'Deid - "You're complaining about housing again? Let's give you something to really complain about!" Other items - the base leadership has directed that 'we' will work to co-locate those who work together (i.e. comms guys with comm guys, cops with cops, etc) so that commanders can do commander shit better. That will translate to waves of people moving out of their current room and moving into another room in the same or nearby buildings.

  6. That is the problem with the whole thing, its all targeted discrimination, under the rule of law and force of gun.

  7. Only military ID, but I’m in a rather small military town. I would think that plus whatever your state requires for firearms purchase should be g2g. Got about $125 off a G19, and of course it comes with the extra mag and night sites I bought the 42 before the 43 came out, I like it for a single stack, I have the mag extender and that helps with my grip, I am bigger guy. I prefer the double stack 19 IWB as long I am not tucking in a shirt, better grip and more lead, but I think you will be happy with the 43.

  8. Probably because there's a picture of Toro hanging in the ROTC Detachment, with a caption that says: "Hey Cadet, you want to send in a request to fly a fighter?? Go ahead... make my day."

  9. I'm doing about 60 in a 45 on Beale, and go beak-to-beak with a mil cop. No indication on my radar detector, however. I see the brake lights, and he reverses. I immediately pull over. He comes to the window: "Sir, I had you doing 61 in a 45" (I guess he had a good eyeball... pretty accurate). Me: "I'd like to see your radar screen, because my radar detector never went off." Him: "Sir, radar detectors are not allowed on Beale" Me: "While that may be true, I'd like you to explain to my commander... and yours... how you got me doing 61 mph, using an X-band radar that didn't activate my radar detector." Him (flustered and agitated): "Have a nice day, sir", and walks off.

  10. @mb1685 The march board did not take unsponsored. The one in may should take unsponsored again but if you get selected you will be put "backup" list and will not go to upt until you get a unit to sponsor you. This is per the january board release message. As far as waivers, AFRC said they will not take anybody needing a waiver unsponsored. If you want the contact info for the guys running the board at AFRC let me know and I can send it to you.

  11. I pulled out of the base gas station one day and TSgt Snuffy passes me going the opposite direction as I took a drink from the bottle I just purchased at the shopette. I immediately hear a siren and look back to see him powerslide his patrol car, fishtail his cruiser on the shoulder with dirt, rocks, and grass flying everywhere. Lights blazing he comes raging up behind me so I pull over. He nearly runs to my side of the car and starts yelling, "I got you Sirrrrrr, I got you!" Ummmm Huh? You got me doing what TSgt? "I got you drinking and driving Sirrrrrrrr, I saw you drinking that beer you have in your lap!!#%^$*" I take a deep breath and reply "Hey Sargeeeeee, do you mean this ROOT beer? He looked at the bottle three times, his head rocking sideways like a confused dog. He didn't say another work, he just walked away.

  12. Boolshit. If they want to press the search the base magistrate can authorize a no consent search. If they don’t want to press the search, or bug the O6, or go thru the hassle, you’ll be released. It will take time either way. Never consent to a search. (Not pyb)
