  1. Not sure when all of the brain surgeons in charge of this train wreck will realize the ARC is the place to throw their money into right now. It's their saving grace. Give us more airplanes, allow us to hire more people, make all of the full-time positions AGR's with AD-like service commitments and big bonus, and give DSG's bonuses also. Let's face it; we're wasting money paying active duty officers to plan Christmas parties and random other events to climb the corporate ladder and stop flying by the time they pin on Lt Col. We need line pilots to do the mission. In the ARC, you essentially have a line pilot for at least 20 years and you don't have to pay him full-time. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

  2. Gents, I wanted to take the opportunity to honor a friend and this seemed like the most appropriate location. Please relocate, if not. My good friend and mentor died just a few hours ago. Though not Air Force, he was a life long aviator, Navy Fighter Pilot, and warrior. He was an A-4 driver in Vietnam and was hit over South Vietnam and severely injured when he ejected over the South China Sea. My friend, Navy Lt Rocky Kranz, died today of liver cancer. Here's a toast...

  5. Can we rename this thread, "I'm not staying in, but does anyone know if the Air Force is going to give me more money before I leave?"

  6. Sounds like the Air Force, playing the part of the exwife, is going back to court for an increase in alimony

  7. Might be able to make us stay in, but can't make us fly. Redball - anti skid.

  8. And I love how they will use this stop loss option at the table with the airlines to threaten them and force them to play ball...screwing us all over in the process. I love feeling like a piece of property

  9. They've already made the ARC like AD over the past 15 years. It's too late. You can blame your ARC leadership for that. Oh how the apples don't fall far from the trees. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

  10. Terrible news. I've known Rocky for many years, he was quite the character and remained connected to aviation through a group of remote control aviators in NW Florida. The group of "Old Guys" were my heros, most were former military with incredible stories of service to their country. I wish you all could have met them...Dr Jack who lied about his age to enlist and serve in Korea, he used his GI Bill to complete Dental School and raised six kids almost entirely on his own, his wife died shortly after the sixth child was born. He was so proud that he got all six through college. There was another character named Ugo Ferrari who served 28 years on active duty and another 24 as a government civilian developing weapons. And there was Rocky who dealt with the injures form being shot down for the rest of his life but never asked for special treatment. He was gruff but would do anything for anyone. Rest easy gentlemen.

  13. I say that everyday when I'm given more and more crap to take care of. Except mine is "2019 I'm done." Making plans to move back home and put active duty behind me have done wonders for my stress level and general outlook on life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. My folks opened up an ammunition manufacturing shop in Katy, TX. They're focusing on pistol calibers at the moment, with all the things to follow: www.lonestarmunitions.com. Price/rd is competitive with the big container stores and most online shops. They load everything to moderate pressure for positive cycling but pleasant recoil, perfect for range use and teaching new shooters.

  21. Whatever the outcome of this meeting between Airline management and your Air Force leadership, the one fact is it will not be in your best interest. There is only one group on the earth that hates you more than your Air Force leadership...it's the shoe clerks in Airline management.

  22. The idea that this happened because al assad crossed some moral line is an absolute joke. Hundreds of thousands have already been slaughtered and millions more displaced. Trump refuses to help refugees at all but now he's concerned about the well being of the syrians? This is a power play intended to boost approval ratings and lift Russian sanctions. Mark my words that Russia will benefit from this action. The story that CNN and their ilk are peddling, that this is some reaction to a moral outrage, will be happily accepted by the unwashed masses. And the elites will continue making back room deals that benefit both Trump and Putin Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
