Seriously? John Oliver? I'm with tac airlifter, if that douchebag Oliver and Obama are against it, I think leaving is probably a smart thing for the UK to do!

I get the negative aspects of attached guys, but if me flying a line every two weeks means the guys flying the line get some semblance of normalcy in their lives, sign me up. You could easily schedule 3:1 against a CAP with the bodies in this building and round-robin seat swap as required (and also guarantee coverage when some bubba has to nug out that .ppt for the boss by COB). We can shoot holes in it all day long, or we can get pseudo-creative and find some relief where it exists. I don't necessarily need to be qualified to strike (seeing-eye guy can have all of the RIFLEs he wants). I know I'm not alone when I say I'd do it (so long as you don't RECAT me for getting qualified and helping your community out). Not married to the idea, but I've seen firsthand how beat up this community gets and if even a minor assist helps, if it gives one more day back to bubbas burning out and not knowing what day of the week it is, I'm for it.

I told my wife about your situation and she talked to the owner of her company. He said it's not a problem and they do it all the time for airline/TR guys. All they would need is pay stubs, current LES, 2015 return and a verification of income from your CC or DO. They'll then just average your monthly pay and you'll be good. They can also go up to 65% debt to income on a VA to qualify you so really there shouldn't be a problem. The owner said banks have a hard time wrapping their brains around how we get paid.

Why's that? This type of thing literally makes up the bulk of the miserable lives these people lead... might as well capitalize on the knowledge.

A few points: - Theres always a possibility to work a CRO or other means to generate an OPR date movement in front of the board for your PRF or draft a medal for an accomplishment. - Although there are "sticklers" in the Air Force who will insist every bullet originates from a report of some kind, this requirement is not accurate. The actual requirement points out that the Senior Rater "must know the information to be true". This means if an action is so great it makes the cut-line for a PRF, it can be included without previously being on a report. This also means if your stratification has improved since your last report, it can (and should) reflect in the push line. Hope this helps.

I'm here after searching for Douglas McClendon. I've been compiling the history of the plane and crew of the B-17 my grandfather was on. We found a letter that was from Douglas' wife and I assume the common thread was the Blister Club. It was written to Rudy Menchl who evaded capture and walked from norther Italy to Switzerland. I'm posting scans of that letter here in case Douglas' family is ever looking for his history. For some institutional change, perhaps start with AFIs. Cut/chop/eliminate. Some have plenty of useful guidelines like an MEL, some are used as ammo against one another. For example, the uniform AFI can change to, "Wear a uniform. Here are the ones we have." Take away the shoe ammo. Lower the waiver level of all AFIs after they've been chopped of the stupidness. Why the fuck a multi-star general is listed as the waiver level of so much stupid shit is well beyond me. Again, removing shoe ammo. That's all for now. Out
