  1. 4 X Nickels on the grass. If anyone knows of any any wives and/or children, please let me know...if you have the contact info for the Family Liason Officer, that would be great. River Rats are standing by to take care of those that may be left behind! Cheers, Cap-10

  2. Exactly. And if the info was truly out that fast, it's somebody down-range. If some MF'r in my Squadron pulled that shit they'd be on the first rotator back to the flagpole. That really chaps my ass.

  3. All it takes is one tie down not done correctly. At OAMS I've seen USAF ATOC personnel walk away from a NAC bird due to some shady stuff being done refusing to be part of it to protect themselves.

  4. I have a TCP, it's the best pocket pistol in .380 I've shot. The LCP is very similar, but lacks the last round slide lock feature that I prefer. It's a helluva lot nicer than the Kel-Tec P3AT I owned previously, I hated that pistol. As for ammo, .380 has been always tough to find as it is essentially 9mm in a short casing (in Europe it's known as 9mm Kurz, or 'short' in German). I thought looking online, but SlickGuns doesn't list any nor does AmmoEngine and the prices on GunBroker are ridiculous. Just be persistent and try local sources, Academy stores are pretty good here. Good luck! M2

  6. Bought a PPK for the wife, and .380 ammo was going for about the same as 9mm pre-crisis (.20-40ยข/rd -ish) Oddly enough, .380 is easier to find now than it was before, since every buddy spike on earth is buying 2000rds of 9mm, .45, .223, and 22lr like its going extinct.

  7. Agreed. Their sign off line was telling. Still worth the time to watch it.

  9. That's on the people posting, who should know better. This is awful enough for the families, finding out via Facebook is even shittier since they could be anywhere looking at their phone.

  11. The Air Force doesn't really care about diversity. It only cares that you drink the blue kool aid and think the way they want you to think. Anyone out of line is RIFd, retired or hidden as to not bring new and different ideas to the masses. The Air Force defines diversity as (among other things): educational background, work experience, cultural knowledge? If that were the case, it would promote/retain those with AADs at the same rate as those without. It would promote/retain those who flew the line three assignments in a row at the same rate it does those who hid on staff and exec tours instead of deploying. It would promote/retain those who have deployed around the world experienceing different cultures at the same rate as those who managed to homestead their entire careers working joint staff at the Pentagon or Forces Command. The Air Force doesn't do these things. The promotion/retention statistics tell a different story. The Air Force promotes/retains those who fit a specific model. It has little to do with actual diversity and more to do with the appearance of diversity. I look at it as "group think" in color. They just managed to get different races, genders, sexual orientations on board so as to "look" diverse...but if everyone thinks the same way, it isn't diversity. I'm with Disgruntledemployee on this one....I care more about getting the mission done than I do about making sure we have a rainbow of fruit flavors trying to look good getting it done half-assedly. I don't care what the racial, gender or cultural mix of the group is, I only care that I have the best of the best getting it done...and that doesn't necessarily mean the guy with two Master's degrees and three Christmas party planning leads under his belt.
