Top Gun 2 in the works. Rumor is he will return as a Instructor at Miramar and also Iceman will be a Skipper on a boat somewhere in the Pacific.

That'd be great. He would go to Miramar only to find that the Navy decided Fallon was a more appropriate place to have the school.

I guess this is how they will fix the coming fighter pilot shortfall! God knows if it weren't for the first Top Gun most of us would've never joined; best damn recruiting movie ever!

I'm pretty sure the script has him as an F35 test pilot. Filming has already started at LM in Fort Worth.

Do they have a two seat version of the F-35? Cruise said in another article "I cannot wait to be in those Jets!" "I want to be in those Jets!"...lol... I was thinking FA-18's since the F-14 is at DM...

Mathew McConnehey is also in this one...Rumor...

Yeah, he could pull off a Navy O-6 character.

It always cracks me up when people make fun of Top Gun for being inaccurate or whatever. No shit, Sherlock. It's meant to be entertaining. And it's a very entertaining (albeit cheesy, but that's part of the greatness) movie.

I don't know if I would've chosen my particular career if I didn't watch that movie on repeat when I was old enough to operate the VCR.

Nope, he's a cargo pilot now. Too many box-nasty's.

I thought that was Chaz Bono...
Of all the weapons in the vast Soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure, no one was lining up to buy their cars.

Rumor is that Cruise was just supposed to do a cameo in the new film. Now he is in the lead, said he would not do it unless he had the lead part...lol So they had to rewrite the script... Kelly McGillis is also in it, she does not look like she used to. Also Cruise said he would not film the next Mission Impossible until Top Gun 2 was done...

I wonder if Hollywood has a military advisor...

No no! Less BFM and more online masters work / PME / additional duties. See - after the brief you go to your computer and knock out some of that before step - you guys have it all wrong...

Meanwhile I bet Cougar got RIF'd and half of Mavericks buddies are in UAV's.
