I'm personally still waiting for the first female wing commander who is black and gay...these days just being a white straight female is no big deal.

WHO CARES? How about a story about how the Air Force is taking steps to un-fuck itself away from this PC corporation it has become? Now THAT would be real news!

I believe this is one of Moon Doherty's daughters -- he's the outgoing Wing/CC that Tally is taking over for.

If so? Then why is she not wearing the American Flag on her flight suit?

...she was going to wear her SAASS patch but then she got a hold of Rainman's 69-point FWIC/SAASS questionnaire for inquiring retirees and did some soul-searching and reconsidered. Phew.

She's cool. As opposed to McKaching, she was the first female fighter pilot to go through the weapons school and there was absolutely zero fanfare about it. No one was the least bit concerned when she was selected and there was never a concern when she was a student. She took her lumps just like anyone else. Just another fighter pilot/student and the last person looking for an advantage because she was a chick.

Correct. Just sayin'...
