Looks like a good find. How are the prices?

"I am not answering my mobile phone at the moment as I am experiencing iPhone envy and every second spent using my Nokia is like being trapped in a loveless marriage. Where you stay together for the kids. And the kids all have iPhones."

Depends on what you're buying. On some things it was only $10-20, but on others it's significant.

Prices can be significantly less. For instance, a couple of months ago I scoured the net looking for a deal on Olukai sandals, but couldn't find them discounted anywhere (I'm too cheap to spend $100 on flip flops.) They have them on this site for 30-40% off. Save a lot more on the big ticket items. It's worth your time to register.
Instead of some cerebral quote, I'll recommend the book "Fighter Pilot" about the legendary Robin Olds. Read it!

I'd enter a fake MIL email. It will still work.

Is the year free a military-specific discount? If so, how did you specify you were military?

It is supposed to be military-specific. I didn't have to specify that I was military. Reading through one of the groups that I'm a member of on LinkedIn one of their employees said that they don't have the capability to add a feature in yet that lets you specify military so they search your profile for specific words that indicate you are military
.
