Guest Flying Burrito
Just a curiostity question, But what happens if you get the Flu or something while in UPT and can't fly or go to class? I haven't started UPT yet but I am sick as a dog today and it made me think about this question. Edited April 25, 2007 by Flying Burrito

Avoid this situation at all costs. Sickly people who need to be in bed don't make good pilots. Part of becoming a pilot is learning this very important lesson... Don't get sick. Ever. Guest F16PilotMD
DNIF is common. Too sick to even make it to class is not. It happens, but not often. I wouldn't worry about it.
Guest xclozano
What happens to someone who gets a cold, or develops cold like symptoms in UPT ?
C17Driver
What happens to someone who gets a cold, or develops cold like symptoms in UPT ? They go see the Flight Doc and will probably be DNIF'd. You'll still go to work in most cases, you just won't fly. The Flt Doc will specify whether or not you can sim while DNIF.
